Self-Identifying
and Reading Reviews

How to find reviews from other people with Celiac Disease

It's important to understand how reviews and community members are labeled on Find Me Gluten Free, especially if you have Celiac Disease.

How to self-identify on Find Me Gluten Free:

Here you can share WHO you are writing reviews for (yourself, a child, a partner, a friend, family member or colleague).

To start, every community member will be prompted to self-identify when creating their profile on Find Me Gluten Free. This step is completely optional, but can be very helpful for other community members when reading reviews!

Then you can share HOW you or your loved one identifies. Whether you (they) have Celiac Disease, Gluten Sensitivity, a Wheat Allergy or identify another way.

Community members can also share how strict they are about cross-contact by sliding left for less strict and right for very strict.

Now that you know HOW to self-identify, learn how it applies to reading reviews on the app:

If you are a Premium member, you will also be able to see when a community member is similar to you when it comes to cross-contact.

When browsing reviews on any listing, you can see how other community members have self-identified. If you have Celiac Disease, you may want to rely on reviews from other people with Celiac Disease only.

Our community is comprised of a majority of self-identifying Celiacs, however the gluten-free community is very diverse. This is why it is important to check WHO wrote the reviews you are reading and relying on, especially if you have Celiac Disease or if you are strict about cross-contact.
